• Removal of certified advanced esthetics


During the 180 day period

– all rules will be

reviewed and input considered including:

• Lawful definition of ablative;

• Collaborative agreement – and what it means

(supervision or not);

• Whether or not chemical peels are in scope of

practice for advanced estheticians;

• Whether or not micro/skin needling are in

scope of practice for advanced estheticians;

• Reciprocity; and

• Approval of schools outside of Oregon.

Over the next 60 days the Board will be re-

cruiting Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) mem-

bers. RAC’s provide an opportunity for external

experts, individuals, entities and advocates to

provide input to the Board and the Health Licens-

ing Office (HLO) during the rulemaking process.

At the January 17, 2018, (2018 Administrative

Rule Schedule for Advanced Esthetics) meet-

ing the Board will be providing input on RAC

membership. If you are interested in serving

on the RAC please contact Samie Patnode at or

Maria Gutierrez at

OHA and the HLO considers RACs public meet-

ings and any individual is welcome to attend,

observe and listen. However only those specifical-

ly invited to be a member of the committee may

participate fully in the meeting. RACs will include

time for public comment.
