No marketing strategy is the end all, be all, fix all for every salon. Every

salon’s demographic is slightly different and each salon’s unique selling

proposition is, well, unique. I don’t have the ultimate golden key or a

unicorn, but I’m going to make the bold claim I know a marketing strategy

that, regardless of a salon or hairstylist’s circumstance, can work — and

work extremely well. It may be the silver key to building your clientele...

Relationships are the key to a prosperous life and business. They drive the

business side of what we do. We wouldn’t be able to grow and enjoy the

creative side without nourishing the business side, and that means we all

need to be in the business of building and maintaining solid relationships.

They say don’t burn bridges you may have to cross later. Think of yourself

(and your business, for that matter) like an island. The only way on or off are a

few bridges that connect you to the mainland. Burn these bridges and what

are you left with? An island surrounded by water.
